Shaping Infrastructure Group (SIG) was founded on a simple belief: the best infrastructure companies are led by people who’ve built things.
People who design systems because they use them. People who make decisions close to the work. People who understand the difference between a process that enables delivery — and one that gets in the way.
We created SIG to prove that rigour and pragmatism can work together. That safety can be engineered into a project — not layered on top of it. That quality is a discipline embedded from day one, not something inspected at the end. And that a contractor can care about a client’s outcomes as genuinely as the client does.
Our operational directors bring more than 40 years of combined experience across the infrastructure sector, with deep expertise in water and wastewater. We’ve worked across every major asset type and alongside South East Queensland’s key water utilities — not as newcomers learning the landscape, but as people who’ve helped shape it.

Shaping Energy delivers electrical infrastructure across high-voltage and low-voltage systems, switchboards, control and instrumentation, and renewable energy installations. Our team brings deep experience in the standards and safety requirements that critical electrical environments require.

The contractor we'd want to hire
We built SIG to be the kind of contractor we’d want on our own projects. That means:
We engage early. Before tenders are released, before designs are locked in. Through investigation services and constructibility assessments, we help clients and esigners make better decisions before committing to construction. Our most valuable work often happens before the first excavator arrives.
We take ownership. We treat the client’s programme, budget, and stakeholders as our own. We push projects forward. If there’s a decision that needs making or a coordination issue that needs resolving, we raise it, and we act.
We focus on the end users. The people who will operate and maintain the asset after we leave are the real client. We look for practical improvements and relevant changes that deliver lasting value - not just a compliant product.
We communicate early and honestly. When something isn’t right, we say so - early enough to do something about it. That approach builds trust that lasts beyond a single project.
